The White House6
Designed and built by Rev. Dr. Mackay as his residence
in 1875, this unique colonial style architecture has
been well-preserved for over a century and is now
Aletheia¡¦s Guest House, providing comfortable rooms for
the University¡¦s guests and visiting scholars.

Tamsui Oxford Museum6
The Museum is sited inside the building of Oxford
College, which was designed by our founder Rev. Dr.
George Leslie Mackay, a minister of the Presbyterian
Church of Canada. The establishment was completed on
July 26th 1882, and is now listed as the
National Heritage, Class II, by the Ministry of
Interior. Major collections include Mackay¡¦s diaries
and manuscripts, his collections, the history of The
Northern Synod of Taiwan Presbyterian Church, and the
history of Aletheia University. In addition to the
uniqueness of its architecture, the Museum provides
valuable resources for the research of contemporary
Taiwanese history, culture, and literature. Special
exhibitions are held on a variety of occasions.

The Grand Chapel6
Built in 1997, the Grand Chapel has now become the
landmark of Aletheia. Its architecture, magnificent but
delicate, solemn but graceful, expresses the centrality
of the Christian doctrine. Inside the Chapel are the
pipe organs, the second largest of their kind in this
country. The pipe organ recitals are being held daily
at noon from Monday through Friday throughout the
semesters, providing the faculty and students an ideal
occasion for relaxation and
meditation.

The Gymnasium6
The University Gym was built in accordance with the
hilly landscape, erected equally to 10-storey high and
measured 3,835 square meters. Its roof square, which
levels the ground walk, is decked with azaleas and a
platform where students may overlook the estuary of the
Tamsui River and the magnificent sunset. The four-level
building, mainly designed for the purpose of teaching,
provides facilities for a variety of indoor sports
including tennis, basketball, volleyball, table tennis,
judo, badminton, gymnastics, etc., allowing 9 PE classes
to be held simultaneously. In addition to their

The 3-H Student Dormitory6
On the original site of the old student dormitory that
was torn down in 2003 erects the newly completed
12-storey 3-H Student Dormitory, which began to house
occupants in Fall, 2004. The Dormitory complex,
containing three major buildings named after the 3-H
characteristics¡XHumorous, Humble, and Humane¡Xhas more
than 340 rooms including President¡¦s Residence,
International Student Residence, and multi-occupancy
rooms. The Dormitory, which can accommodate more than
1,100 beds, provides a modern, convenient, and
comfortable living environment to all its residents. The
International Student¡¦s Residency is located in
Humorous Hall; ALL international students are guaranteed
a place in the dormitory.
