The Research Building6

       Occupying 18,468 square meters of floor space and standing 9-floor high, the Research Building houses the library, Taiwanese Literature Resource Center, as well as 49 multifunctional classrooms from the third floor to the ninth floor.  Each floor is designed to contain a big classroom with the capacity of 100 seats and six compartments which can be flexibly designated to be the department-specific classroom, the department administrative office, research space, or the common classrooms.

The Library6

       Located on the underground floor and the first floor of the Research Building, the Library has the total floor space of 6,480 square meters, providing a commodious and excellent reading environment.  Taking advantage of the long shining summer in Matou, the library features a court with a big arch skylight which admits light cylindrically.  This eyecatcher is never neglected right at the entrance.  The library provides various services, including Internet connection, electronic resource service, reference service, periodical collection, a newspaper-reading lounge, online collection catalog searching (OPAC), a collection of Chinese, English and Japanese volumes, bound periodical collection, new arrival presentation, a multimedia area, art exhibition, study carrels, and a multifunctional net-meeting conference hall.  The library houses a collection of over 270,000 volumes and providing nearly 800 seats.

   TLA has a total area of 2,592 square meters, accommodating an exhibition hall, research rooms, and a special collection area.  A collection of over 10,000 volumes of Taiwanese Literature includes manuscripts, ancient thread-bound books, and various rare books dated back as early as the Ching Dynasty, the Japanese colonial period, and early Republic. As the world¡¦s first Taiwanese literature resource center of its kind, TLA draws the attention of both national and international scholars. The visitors have been increasing and so have the collections ever since its inauguration on June 10th, 2002.

White House Hotel6

       Located on the southwest of Matou Campus, the White House Hotel is an elegant western-style building featuring its black tiles and white walls.  It is surrounded by delicate flower beds to the front and green ponds to the rear.  The hotel has 40 rooms, a gym, an aqua complex containing an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, a hydrotherapic pool, 2 sauna rooms and 2 steam rooms.  A 180-seat Chinese restaurant, an 80-seat western restaurant, and a café cater a variety of delicate cuisines and snacks.

Student Dormitory6

       The student dormitory, adjacent to the north-west side of Matou Campus, is only 6-minute walk from the center of the campus.  The dormitory has two uni-sex buildings and contains restaurants and stores.  The dormitory is compartmentalized into suites, with a total of 544 beds, including 224 single suites and 160 double suites.

The Main Classroom Building6

       A square castle-like six-floor building and the very first building on campus.  An atrium is enclosed by walls with arch door-size windows with each window presenting a spectacular view.  The building provides spaces for administrative offices, research rooms, common classrooms, computer labs, language labs and other special classrooms.  Besides, there is also an assembly hall with a seating capacity of 220.  The basement contains a fitness room, an eatery, a convenience store and also space for student club activities.
