Objectives
The Department of Applied Music leads students
to explore a variety of perspectives in the music
world. We include applied courses in addition
to those in theory and performing skills to provide
students a broad scope of music field.
Curricular Focus
Our
curriculum focuses on the study of performing
skill and music history, as well as the essentials
of becoming a whole person during the first year
of study. Students undergo training in the theory/applications
of music field and broaden their scope of applications
in the last two years of study.
Application
This department is designed with the following
three goals:
1. to straighten students¡¦ ability in professional
performance,
2. to broaden students¡¦ knowledge of the history,
harmony, theory and bibliography of music field,
and
3. to introduce various aspects of music applications,
such as administering, editing, staging, computerization,
and recording, to provide a thorough view of music
profession.
