Objectives
This program leads students to analyze current
computer software related to industrial
engineering and management and to resolve related
problems originated from the factories.
The design of the curriculum is to equip students
with the ability of improving and developing
computer software systems. Students are required
to operate the software systems in person and make
comparisons between them.
Curricular Focus
Students obtain a very general background of
social science through the curriculum of general
education. Then they acquire proficiency in
various subjects of industrial management, such as
Work Study and Human Factor Engineering; industry
related subjects such as Facility Planning and
Production Planning/Control; material related
subjects such as Material Flow Management;
cost/quality related subjects such as Cost
Analysis and Quality Assurance System; computer
related subjects such as System Analysis/Design
and Corporate Resources Planning.
Application
Students
are well ¡V prepared to practice their
knowledge/skill in the daily operation of firms in
manufacturing business or service industry,
including sales/marketing, product design,
facilities planning, production planning/control,
purchasing, material flow, cost analysis, and
operation research of manufacturers or service
providers.
