The shape of a buffalo's head as a whole represents diligence, service, and contribution, characterizing the spirits of the school during the agricultural phase of Taiwan when it was established in the 1960s.

The Holy Bible, symbolizing the education that reveals the truth of the universe and the lessons from God, is centrally mounted on the Cross, which emphasizes the Christianity that upholds the foundation of the University, and is encased by a triangular frame representing the trinity of Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.
